PRIVATE SCHOOLS ARE NOT IN COMPETITION WITH THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS -
PRE-TERTIARY DIRECTOR ADMITS.
The relationship that exists between the two-edge of Education delivery in Ghana has been recently misconstrued by many Ghanaians, as most people percieve there is serious competition that exist between the two educators.
In a meeting with the Ghana National Council of Private school and the Director of Pre-tertiary education - Madam Catherine Agyapomaa Appiah-Pinkrah; it was revealed that there is a strong coordination devoid of perceived misconception regarding competition that exists between the two sectors in Education delivery.
According to her, there is no dichotomy between private schools and public schools when it comes to rendering educational services to the country.
She accoladed the good work each sector is doing for the development of Ghana's education and called on private schools to partner with public schools for better education delivery.
For this reason, a program is in the pipeline to be implemented where private schools in partnership with public schools would have regular meetings and interactions every quarter with the sole aim of making progress in the betterment and improvement of the quality of education in Ghana.
The executive director of the Council, Mr Gyetuah Enoch on his part thanked the Pre-tertiary director for the good intentions and plans she has for private schools and called for a stronger relationship that would bridge the gap between private schools and public schools.
Matters concerning the free senior high school policy and free BECE registration were also discussed.
